EN: The "Thursday Society" is a society for free scientific and political exchange in the private sphere in the spirit of the European Enlightenment, liberal conservatism and the spirit of democracy.
ES: La "Sociedad del Jueves" es una sociedad de libre intercambio científico y político en el ámbito privado, en el sentido de la Ilustración Europea, del conservadurismo liberal y del espíritu de la democracia.
The events begin with a lecture by one of the participants on a scientific, political, artistic or cultural topic. The content of this lecture will be made available to the participating guests in the form of an essay at the end.
Cada evento comienza con una ponencia de uno de los participantes sobre un tema científico, político, artístico o cultural. El contenido de esta charla se pondrá a disposición de los participantes en forma de ensayo.
This will be followed by a general discussion on the issues we have just heard. This discussion is free of reasoning, prejudices or political ideologies.
A continuación se entabla un debate general sobre el conjunto de temas que acabamos de mencionar. Este debate está libre de razonamientos, prejuicios o ideologías políticas.
The "Thursday Society" aims to welcome and bring together people from different fields of science, politics, art and culture with different worldviews.
La "Sociedad del Jueves" pretende acoger y reunir a personas de diferentes campos de la ciencia, la política, el arte y la cultura con diferentes visiones del mundo.
The "Thursday Society" wants to contribute to democracy, freedom of expression, free science and a free and dignified society in the context of European enlightenment and truth.
La "Sociedad del Jueves" quiere contribuir a la democracia, a la libertad de expresión, a la libertad científica y a una sociedad libre y digna en el marco de la Ilustración Europea y de la Verdad.
